【摘要】:Thistestmethoddifferentiatesamongwheelbearinggreaseshavingdistinctlydifferenthigh-temperaturecharacteristics.Itisnottheequivalentoflongtimeservicetests,norisitintendedtodistinguishbetweentheproductshavingsimilarhigh-temperatureperformanceproperties.Thistestmethodhasproventobehelpfulinscreeninggreaseswithrespecttolifeperformanceforautomotivewheelbearingapplications.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedureforevaluatingthehigh-temperaturelifeperformanceofwheelbearinggreaseswhentestedunderprescribedconditions.Note1-Changestothistestmethodinthe1985revisionincreasedtestseverity.Resultswillnotbecomparablewithdatafromearlierprocedures.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunits,exceptapparatusdimensions,aretoberegardedasthestandard.Apparatusdimensionsininchesaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see8.1-8.4.
